I don't get it... I have a pair of Levi's that I LOVE! they are wearing out, so I decided to replace them with new ones. I found a killer Kohl's sale online, so I ordered a few pairs. I got the same style and size of the pants I have and love... they finally arrive, and they are HUGE! I ordered the same size, I verified they are the same style... I don't get it! I returned the jeans to the store, tried on a few different sizes, and the ones that fit are a size smaller?! Are they messing with me???
I would LOVE to think that I am now skinnier, and can wear a smaller size. But the fact that my existing Levi's are the larger size and they fit exactly the same as the new smaller sized ones... well I am just baffled! I guess I should just enjoy the fact that I am wearing a smaller size jeans (at least one day a week) ;)

New Fur-baby!
As of yesterday afternoon, we have a new addition to the family! Our new fur baby is Cinnie! She is adorable! We are still getting her and Hercules used to eachother. As of right now she has the upstairs and he has the downstairs. We are slowly introducing them. Any tips on helping them get used to eachother would be appreciated... for now, separation is what we are doing. After the 'fight' last night. I am not ready for another yet. No one got hurt, they hissed, and scratched at each other then Cinnie ran away, but it was hard to watch!
Cinnie on our bed this morning. She doesn't sit still for long, so it took a few tries to get a shot of her that isn't blurry. She is still adjusting to being in her new home.

September 11th
Well today is the 8th anniversary of 9-11... It's 8 years later and we are still at war. We are still sending our babies to battle, hoping and praying that they come home safe! To all the men and women that serve, have served, or are thinking of serving this country, THANK YOU! Thank you for doing what you do! So that we can live the lives we live. Thank you for all your sacrifices. Thank you for leaving the comfort of home, the arms of your loved ones to protect the rest of us. Thank you.
Do you remember where you were when the planes crashed? I'm pretty sure everyone does. Me, I was at work, sitting at the R.A.S Desk in Salt Lake. Warren walked in at about 7:30 and said, did you hear? When he told me, I thought he was pulling my leg, as he usually was. But no, he was not, and it was just after he walked in that we heard about the second plane. it wasn't long before the office was a buzz. I remember that sence of just waiting for the other shoe to drop. One plane, then 2... Then the 3rd into the field in Pa... planes were grounded... it was... surreal. Rumors that our CEO and other execs had left the building in Denver, but other workers were still there... not knowing if anything else would happen. if.. when.. It makes me wonder how folks in these war torn countries survive? How can life go on when you don't know if a suicide bomber will chose this place, or that place to kill themselves and others..
That day... It was so odd, to have a call center so quiet, there were no calls for most of the day... eerily oddly quiet. With everyone listening to the radio, trying to get internet to come up (there were ways around the proxy servers at work). We had a TV in the break room, but no TV reception (it was there for the VCR). We did our best to get a TV Station to come in, we had sound, and a bunch of fuzz for a picture, so I didn't really see the tape of the planes hitting the building until that evening when I got home. I remember Wade let me use his cell phone so I could call my Mom. He is a sweet guy! He knew I was from NY, but didn't realize I was from Central NY. Either way, he handed me the phone and told me to call to verify everyone was OK, she was, and said that they were closing her work for the day (she worked at the Federal Reserve bank). I also called my brother, and we made a 'plan' if anything happened in our area, we would all meet at his house. Luckily we didn't need the plan.
So, It's eight years later, and as I type I am surprised by the clarity in the memories... I don't even know if I could tell you what happened last weekend, but this day, 8 years ago, I guess I can tell you what happened. If you see a member of our Military, Thank them! If you are a member... THANK YOU! Thank you!! And to Jayge, my step son, who is about to head over to Iraq in just about 8 weeks.... be safe! We are proud of you!! We want you and your entire unit home safely!

Vacation extended
What a week it has been! We put just over 1700 miles on the car... had to buy 2 new tires... and extended the trip from the original plan of 4 days to 8 days. I guess we are flexible :)
We have been planning this anniversary trip to Las Vegas for months. Keith and I planned to go to Vegas with our friends Brian and Jackee (who are also celebrating an anniversary this month). We planned a few days in Vegas along with tickets to see Diana Krall in concert at the Palms. Then a few days in Mesquite Nevada, just to check out that town, and let the boys do some golfing. It was supposed to be a long weekend trip. Things change...
Where to start... As a last minute decision we decided to drive instead of flying (and it's a good thing we did), it is only 5 hours or so away. So Keith and I left here last Saturday morning. It was a fun drive! We saw a bunch of hot air balloons as we were leaving the Phoenix area. It reminded me of the good old Boise days... was it the river festival... Yeah I think it was river fest when all the balloons would launch everyday... oh the good old Boise days!!!!
We got to see the Hoover dam! It was a first for me, pretty awesome sight! They are working on a bridge to connect Arizona and Nevada, and it is now connected. I was hoping to see it not yet connected, but no luck :( a few weeks ago our local news reported that the two sides were about 6 feet apart, but they have since connected it. Cool sight to see!

After the dam, we headed into Vegas to meet up with Brian and Jackee, who had landed a few hours earlier. Let the drinking begin :) We got our Vegas on! :) Happy Vegas everyone! :) Here is a photo of us outside Jimmy Buffets store. We were wasting away in margarittaville :)

On Saturday night we went to the Concert... it was INCREDIBLE! Diana Krall is awesome! I love the sound of her voice, and her down to earth way... If you get a chance, go see her! Here's us as we crossed the street from our hotel to the Palms.

Sunday was a great day, we headed to Downtown, drank a bit on Fremont street... gambled a bit... ate a bit... giggled a lot... it was a good day! I can't say too much... what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas... LOL! :)

The four of us at some brewery somewhere on Fremont street... I think it was the lucky 7 brewery... they had good beer! a funny bartender.. and yummy garlic cheese bread! mmm!
On Monday we checked out of the hotel in Vegas, and headed to Mesquite... Good times there also! It was only about an hour drive to Mesquite. I have to say, the town is smaller than I imagined... I think there are more casinos in Jackpot, than there are in Mesquite... but it was fun! The guys golfed both mornings, they got to check out two different golf courses. We did a bit of gambling :) and a bit of poolside sitting. The pool had a water slide, that was a LOT of fun... I guess we are still kids inside :) Here is a shot of me going down the slide... weee!
We did relax, and have fun, and definitely enjoyed catching up with friends we never see... we got a bit of sobering news while on vacation. Keith's Grandma Fuller passed away. The funeral was planned for Saturday in Salt lake city. So we made the decision to just head north, heck we were already half way there! This was when we realized it was a good thing we drove to Vegas instead of flying. Things always have a way of working out, don't they!?
We did stay in St George one night, then we headed to the salt lake area. It was a fun road trip! We checked out downtown Ogden, it is a cute town, and neither Keith or I had ever really checked it out before. This is us in downtown. What a view!

Were are we... it is now Friday (the 14th). We are in Salt lake, Keith's Dad drove up from Texas. So we went to cousin Duane's house to visit with family. I had never meet many of the cousins, so it was nice to meet new folks. I can't believe that Dad and Randi made the drive from Texas in one day... they drove non stop! Crazy! thankfully they made it safely! I have to say, I have a pretty cool father in law! He always puts a smile on my face, I guess Keith got his sense of humor from his dad :) they are funny boys! We visited until late Friday night. Luckily we got to sleep in for a bit on Saturday.
Oh on Friday afternoon, we got to buy 2 new tires for the car. I don't know how it happened, but my front tires were BALD! not just showing wear, but bald!! So we spend Friday afternoon shopping for tires. We ended up at Costco, got a good deal, I think. Did you know that you can fill your tires with Nitrogen instead of Oxygen? I guess Nitrogen has a larger particle, thus it doesn't leak as much... and there is no moisture, so there is no expanding and contracting with temperature variations. I did not know any of this a few days ago... now I do! So my car tires are now filled with nitrogen. Oh, and we named the car... I have had her for 5 years and she has gone nameless. Somewhere along the way Keith and I named her Sam! short for Samantha. and she has a mascot... I got a stuffed cat while we were in Vegas, so now the cat sits on the back window area, and she is Sam's new car mascot!
Saturday afternoon we had the services for Grandma Fuller, then we headed back to cousin Duane's house for dinner. Vicky had prepared buffalo roast... mmm! so good!
Sitting around after the services, cousin Duane, Dad, Elivia (sp) her cat Alex and Vickies feet.

It was nice to see everyone again. I feel slightly guilty that I was in the Salt Lake area and I did not see any of my own family... but there is always next time, right. I guess this trip was all about Keith's side of the family.
Sunday morning Keith and I piled into the car, we planned to leave at 5... I think we did good, it was 5:20 am as we were pulling out of the driveway. We had a GREAT drive home. Since Samantha had new tires, the ride was much smoother :)

I am not going to lie, the 12 or so hour drive home was not something we were looking forward to, but we made it! the drive was beautiful. Southern Utah is a beautiful place! We stopped at Glen canyon dam and walked through the visitors center, took a few photos from the middle of the bridge.

Well that about sums up our last week or so. It is nice to be home. Hercules missed us! I was worried about leaving him, but he seems to have survivied, even if he won't leave my side :) I'm not complaining.
I guess that's it for now, it's almost bedtime here... good night all! :)

My little cutie patutie!

I have to share how cute my little snookums is! I may have been pampering him a bit in the past few weeks. I've been a bit worried about how he is going to adjust to being the only cat here. And he has developed some odd behaviors.
First he has started napping in the closet, among my shoes... he has always had a thing for shoes, but usually it is just to drop his toys into them, then fish them out... but now he is napping on them (he lays so he leans on them). Strange! Now he had brought his ball up there with him, and is using it as a pillow, SO CUTE! (see photo). This is the same ball that he will yell at from time to time. Really, he yells at it.. I wish I knew what was going on in that little cute head of his!

Hard day
It's been a hard weekend, on Saturday morning, Kitty left us. I'm sure he is somewhere now chasing, and of course catching moths, without worrying about his legs hurting him anymore. He is jumping up onto anything and everything he sees! And I am sure that he has found someone to scratch his ears for him!
We tried to make the last few days he was here filled with all he loved. On Thursday he got cheese snacks.... On Friday I had tuna for lunch, just so that he could have the tuna juice, then I picked up a bit of cat grass from the pet store for him to nibble, he LOVED grass! He got treats when he looked up at me with those loving blue eyes... and for Friday and Saturday morning, he didn't have to eat the Rx cat food, he got just the fancy feast stuff that he liked. He had put up with the Diabetic diet for long enough.
We gave him lots of kisses and rubbed his ears and belly the way he liked... I made sure he had his rubber band to chew... Kitty loved rubber bands! When I worked in Twin I would come home with them on my wrist, on 'accident' so he had a fresh supply of them to chew through... I guess I stole office supplies for him :)
Despite trying to make him happy... and thinking I was ready for this... it still hurts me to realize he is gone. I keep expecting to see him come waddling down the hallway. Or hear his soft whisper of a meow when he wanted something... We went to rent movies this morning, and I expected to see him sitting at the top of the stairs, waiting for us when we returned.
Yesterday when 7pm rolled around I almost lost it completely... Kitty got his insulin injection twice a day, 7am and 7pm... I guess I don't have to worry about being home at those times everyday anymore. sigh.
It has never been a burden to take care of him, in fact, he has made me so much stronger! I used to hate needles! When the vet told us he had diabetes, I told Keith he would have to do all the injections... but then Kitty didn't mind them at all... so after just a few days of Keith giving him the medicine, I decided to 'gave it a try'. Nothing to worry about, it's easy! I need to not be scared of the unknown!
To anyone who has had to make the decision to put a pet down, I am sorry! I never knew... I had no idea how hard it would be... I am sure we made the right decision... but it doesn't help the pain. And to see Keith right now.... man... that hurts more.
I wrestle with the idea of 'playing god'. Do we really have the right to make this decision? In the end I suppose I decided yes we do. Kitty had a full 15 years here... July 9th 1994 was the birthday on his adoption papers... Kitty was only a kitten when he came into Keith's life... and it's been a good one... R.I.P Kitty... we miss you! (kisses on your head)

Our Babies!

Well I am not mom to a human baby, but I have my two fur babies! Kitty and Hercules.
First there was Kitty. He was part of a package deal, I got the cat, and Keith together! A great 2-fer deal! :)
Kitty moved into my apartment in 2000, and that was before Keith 'officially' moved in :) Keith and Kitty had already been together for a few years. Keith was spending a bit of time at my place, and not so much time at his house, so he decided to bring Kitty over to my apartment.
Well just a short time after that, Keith was headed out of town for the weekend (I think he was going to Texas to see his Dad and Sister, but my memory could be off). Anyway, I was in charge of Kitty... so about 2 hours after Keith left... I couldn't find the cat. Seriously! I had a TINY one bedroom apartment... and the cat was no where. I started thinking that he may have snuck out the door somehow, he was a fast, agile cat after all. So I walked the neighborhood looking... I couldn't find him anywere. I went back to the apartment and again looked every where for him.. no luck. I was dreading calling Keith to tell him I lost his cat... when I heard noise in the cupboards above the washing machine. There he was, he had somehow gotten into the cupboard above the machine... and was napping on a stack of towels! I thought I had looked everywhere for him... I didn't think to open the cupboards to look.. crazy cat! I am still not sure how he managed it... but he was there.
About a year after that, I was moving to a new apartment, and Keith decided to take Kitty back to his house. I quickly realized I needed that love that a cat can give... enter Hercules!
I've had Hercules since 2001, I adopted him at 6 weeks old from the Pet Smart parking lot. They were having an adoption fair, or something. There were tents out front, and shelters from all over the valley were there to try to match up us pet lovers with our new fur babies. He was so tiny he fit in the palm of my hand! I remember being scared he would hurt himself if he jumped off the bed, so I would put him up there at bedtime, then in the morning, I would let him down... I guess he has been spoiled since the begining.
I ended up with my little bundle of spastic joy! He started out as the calmest cat! It was about a week of calm cat... then he started sneezing... and I realized he was sick... after a week of antibiotics, I got to know the real Hercules! My little spaz! :) I do believe he is afraid of the dark, he sleeps in the hall way near a night light we have put out for him. If there are no lights on he tends to meow loudly into the corner of the room, so that it amplifies his voice. Smart cat!
It was in 2002, when Keith and I moved to Boise, and 'officially' moved in together, that the cats got to meet eachother. Let me tell you, it was a tough car ride, from Salt Lake city, to Boise Idaho, with a LOUD cat in the car! :) I had Hercules in my car, and Keith was with Kitty in the truck.
After tormenting them with a long car ride, we introduced them to eachother... At first it was as if they didn't like eachother, they would hiss, scratch, and show their teeth to eachother. They continued this 'fighting' sharade until one day we walked into the apartment and found them cuddled together on the couch! The door opened, we saw them, they saw us, looked at eachother, hissed at eachother, and Kitty ran off to the other room... but the charade was over. We realized we had been played by the cats. They were actaully getting along but must have realized they got more treats and such, if we were worried about them. I guess they do rule the house!
Well here we are years later, there are a few grey hairs, a bit of a wider mid section, and I suppose I am not only talking about the cats here :) We have had a great... almost 10 years together for me and Kitty, and it's been longer for Kitty and Keith... I will not forget the good times... Kitty was a lap cat.. he liked to be on your lap when you were reading, he liked to stick his head between you and the book, so that it made it hard to read :) seems like so long ago... He's been sick for a while... one thing leads to another, and yet another. He's been a trooper!

blah blah blah.... Sometimes I think I want to write... but the words aren't there... or they are, but when I reread what I have written... I feel the need to delete it.... why do I have such a hard time getting the ideas/thoughts from my head to the keyboard??? is there a filter in my fingers? :)
Anyway... that's all I guess I have for now... good night all.

I love vacation!
OK, I am back from the vacation of a lifetime! But I challenge myself to top it... and I will try! We just got back from a 7 night stay at a '5 star' resort. I put 5 star in quotes, because this is a new resort (just opened December 2008), and according to some of the reviews of it, it's not quite a 5 star yet... 4 to 4 1/2 according to most... but here is my point... I wouldn't know the difference between 4 and 5 star if you asked me. After all I am a blue jeans and cotton shirt, beer drinking gal... who likes to dabble in the finer things in life. And I LOVED this place! I could get used to 5 star, even if it is only 4 star.
My mind is everywhere tonight so I have to apologize if I jump from one thing to another....
When we planned this trip, I though we might take a few tours or adventure type things... but we ended up sitting on the beach, or by the pool, or walking the beach... IT WAS PERFECT!!!! There was no need for an overpriced swim with dolphins in captivity... or a zip line ride above the forest (but I may try that some day). This trip was just what we needed... a bunch of time to do nothing but relax... relax... and play in the water! I love the ocean! I hate getting sand in my swimsuit.... but I love the water! Walking on the beach or just sitting and listening to the water... Or chatting with good friends... ahhhh! My life is so good!
But we are back home now... no more ocean... for now. But I will return!
I tried to be good about protecting my skin while we were no vacation... but I started to peel today... it's gross!!!! My ear is peeling... my ear!!! I guess I forgot to sunscreen there! :)
True as it has ever been... I turned red on the first day in the sun... then I turned brown! I guess I am Italian after all :) except for my peeling ear... I have a nice tan! And since I live in the Phoenix area, there really is no excuse for me to be as white as I was when we left for our trip. I guess I need to go outside more often.
Oh, I ate duck! The place we stayed was an all inclusive resort... so the menus at the restaurants did not have prices on them.... that changes everything!!!! I ordered duck on our second night... I had never had it, and wanted to try it... well, I don't like duck... But I now know that I don't. I do like lamb! (cruel I know) But the lamb was good! It was great to order without calculating the price, or worrying that I might not like it, so it would be a waste (the duck did not go to waste, the others at the table tried it, and liked it).
OK, I have rambled on for long enough, it's getting close to bed time... good night for now... God bless! And get to the ocean if you can... enjoy the sound of the water breaking against the shore!

Kids are messy
OK let me start with a disclaimer.... I am not a Mom... I do not have kids... I love kids! I think they are a joy and they hold our future.... with that said, they are slobs! And dangerous little dare devils! I can handle the runny nose of a toddler, the dirty diaper of an infant.... but there comes a time that that stops... right????
OK let me explain.... I spent last night with my niece, who is an intelligent, beautiful, confident young woman! However.... not being a mom, I find a few things problematic... but as we were on the moving sidewalk at the airport, I was a nervous Nelly... she was not paying attention as the end was coming up... Hell, she wanted to sit on the handrail and let it carry her... I put an end to that quickly... and she was dancing and walking backwards on the dang thing... those things are dangerous!!! And she was wearing flip flops, walking backwards, on the moving sidewalk... I saw every 20/20 and Dateline tragedy story possibility on the fringe....
And.... Why would someone wipe greasy french fry fingers on their pants rather than a napkin? And why would you leave the ice cream on you nose? LOL :) it was cute! I had a GREAT time hanging with my niece, and she TOTALLY impressed me with her maturity level... but come on, you can use a napkin, right? (am I too anal?)
As I'm typing I just realized.... I am an old hag! :( What ever happened to having fun, and enjoying life???? I guess I'm a bit too cautious... is that bad? I didn't think so until about 20 seconds ago. SHIT! sorry....
OK, so I am a bit too cautious, but that cautiousness comes from experience... maybe.... or something... Maybe I am just the old hag with all the cats... one of my biggest fears! I did have a great time hanging out with my Niece. It was only a few hours in the airport, as she was on a layover on the way to spend a few weeks with her Dad, but it was good! and yes... maybe I should loosen the f*@k up! but I guess I am me... s'est la vie! or not. Once I was the carefree spirit... how old am I? Seriously.... lately I continue to feel OLD!
On Saturday DH and I were shopping, I saw a kid and a mom shopping and I thought, how nice that (teenage kid) and her mom are having a shopping day/date together... then he turned so I could see his face, and it as a boy! He had long hair that was feathered or wavy... he didn't look like a boy from behind... he looked like a little girl.... Am I getting old?????? I hear Grandpa telling Norm 'Cut your hair, or put on a dress, the choice is yours!' LOL, that was a funny day! And his hair was BARELY touching his collar! but that was 12 lifetimes ago!
OK, I guess that is it for this Sunday night. I did have a GREAT time hanging out with my Niece last night, but I worry that I might be a bit too anal retentive... I'm sorry! Is that the 'curse' of not being a mom?
Good night and God Bless!

Friday the 13th!
Even though I am a superstitious person, I have never been one to be fearful of today. I will try not to step on a crack when walking on a sidewalk, and I will knock on wood occasionally, but today, the 13th... I got no problem with it! (knock on wood) :)
Things are moving quickly here, 2 weeks from today and I will be sitting on a beach in Mexico! This will be my first passport stamp, I'm excited! This year Mexico, next year... Maybe Canada for the Winter games... then it's on to Europe! OH and I can't wait to see Russia, good old USSR! :) Maybe somewhere in this brain of mine I can remember a few words of that language... maybe...
After the Mexico trip I get to start looking for a job again... It's been fun not working, but I need to get back to it... the checkbook is wanting some funds... and who am I to deny the checkbook what it wants. Also, it's hard to meet folks in a new town... I think I need the social benefits of going to work everyday.
We are getting settled into the new apartment, apartment living is... well apartment living. This place is a lot nicer than our last place, we have a townhome style apartment, so there is no one above or below us. NICE! The cats have settled right in :) We were worried about Kitty being able to get around, he is getting old and now has arthritis, so we worried that he would not be able to handle the stairs. We had him in the apartment for... oh maybe 10 minutes, when he headed down the stairs, without a problem! Either we was trying to leave, or he was showing us that we don't have to worry. Smart cat! (or smart ass, whatever). He doesn't go up or down often, but occasionally I find him upstairs, or downstairs just hanging out. He still isn't inclined to jump on the couch, but I guess I will take baby steps... he is doing the stairs without a problem! And Hercules loves having the hallways and stairways to run up and down and attack his shadow or the air... or whatever fancies him at the moment (he's my freaky fur baby child) :)
Here's a photo of thier corner, Hercules has a window to stare out from his perch. and they both have thier bed/pillows to sleep on.

That's it for this update... I am going to try to update the blog at least once a week... that's the new plan!

Moving soon!

So we will be moving again in less than 2 weeks. I can't say I'm excited about the actual moving part of moving. But I am anxious to be in a different place. This apartment has been OK. It served it's purpose but I am SO READY for a nicer place to call home. Don't get me wrong, this was a great place while we were still making the mortgage payment, and while I was still in Idaho. But now that that is all done, we need a place without.... well, a place in a nicer neighborhood. I am SO TIRED of listening to car alarms go off, you know it's a weekend if you are woken at 3:00 to a car alarm going off in the parking lot. And lately every time the garbage truck goes by, there is an alarm that goes off. I can't say it's not going to be that way at the new place, but I can hope. OH, and we will have a garage again! Yay! No more storage unit! Yay!
So I got the moving boxes ready, and the kids have decided to start playing in them, they are so cute!
Well I guess I am off to start my day. Happy Monday everyone!

January 6, 2009 Title: Time
Am I getting old? I must be! I can not believe that my family's families have all grown up. My nieces and nephews are reaching their teenage years! Yet I don't feel any older?! go figure. What happened to those cute toddlers that fell down when they tried to run? When did this all happen. Not being a parent, and being a long distance Aunt, has probably contributed to my lack of reality... but I swear those kids can not be teenagers already! Friday night football games... talking to girls/boys.... they are too young! I remember being that age.... YIKES! enough said. My siblings should lock up all the kids until they are in their mid 20's... or maybe 30, yeah, that sounds good!
Seriously, I got all the Christmas card / Christmas photos this year, and I had to do double and triple takes... what are you guys feeding these kids???? Even the ones that I had just seen a few months ago (I guess it was 6 months ago). But I can't believe how big McKinlee, Josh and Danny are! And Rachel! wow! She is a beautiful young woman! Jon is getting taller, in a photo of him and Sean, he appears to be approaching Sean's height, is that possible??? I don't know how I maintain my youth, while these kids keep getting older.
LOL.
That's all I got for now, I hope everyone is well!

January 3, 2009 Title: Todays real estate market
It was a tough decision, but we have finally decided. We will not be buying a home, right now. We had EVERY intention of buying, once the lease was up on this apartment, but after checking out areas, and houses, we are going to 'go with the masses' and waiting a while to buy. It seems as if every home I look at is bank owned, or short sale. Most of the bank owned ones, have no appliances, carpets ripped out, some have no lighting or plumbing fixtures. It seems as if those folks that lost their homes took everything but the kitchen sink with them. Or others broke into empty homes, and cleaned them out. I just don't know that I want to tackle such a fix up job. And the prices for homes are still too high (in my opinion). But I guess I sold my house for more than it was worth, so I am part of the problem too
So we have decided to continue to rent, but we will find a larger and nicer apartment than the small one we are in. It would also be nice to have something with a garage. We looked around today. I am leaning towards renting a town house or a Condo. I don't want to hear folks walking in the apartment above me. So the search is on for another home!
Here we are at the start of another year, a fresh page, a clean slate.... Let's make it a good one! If nothing else happens this year, I am hoping to enjoy every moment of this year!!! Life really is too short to complain as much as I do

December 10, 2008 Title: Sick kitty cat
Wow, things do tend to happen fast. I decided that working the job I had, just wasn't the right thing for me right now, I suppose I am being selfish, but this is the 1st time in a while, so I think it's ok, for now. Anyway, I quit my job!
Keith and I decided that since the house sold, and we are in a small apartment (with small rent payments) now would be the time. This also frees up my days to look for a house and take care of all the getting settled in a new area kinda things.
One of which I took care of on Monday. We found a new Vet to take the kids to. Well I should have known that a new vet would want to run all sorts of tests on Kitty. So after almost 3 hours and a few hundred dollars, I got to bring my babies home, with the knowledge that Kitty has arthritis. yup... now my diabetic cat is also arthritic.
Our other vet (in Idaho) had told us that he wasn't as playful, and wasn't jumping onto things, because of the diabetes... um NO! after looking at the X rays, there is no doubt, my baby has bone spurs all around his knees.
That's why he is not jumping onto the couch, or anything anymore. I feel like a bad mom, I should have known it was more. Well we are going to start treating him for the arthritis as soon as the blood work is back, we want to be sure everything else is ok. I have to wonder... how much is too much? He seems to live an almost normal cat life....

Posts from other blog
So this may be odd, but I had started another blog elsewhere, and decided to go with this one, so I am going to cut and paste those entries here... Since I blurted my thoughts onto that blog, and am now going to delete it, I figured I would incorporate it all here... why not, right?
Anyway, I will post them with the original dates as the titles, there are only 2 or 3. So from here on out... I guess this is my blog. :) enjoy my ramblings, If you are here reading, please leave a comment
XOXOX!

Just another Wednesday night....
Well here we go, I am linking this blog to my website, so it's no longer an anonymous blog. Not that I had any secrets here, I just did not have a means to advertise the blog. So from today on out, this is my way of keeping in touch and of letting you all know what thoughts are bouncing around my head. Enjoy!
I guess I can give some updates... let's see, I have been unemployed for a few months, and it has been an experience. This has been the first time I have been either not working or not looking for work... since I was in college, and who am I kidding, I was working all through school, so I guess I would have to say, since junior high (as long as babysitting and house cleaning don't count as work). It think I deserve a few months off! wow, I have been working for as long as I can possible remember... crazy. But one does what one must... right?!
Well, I really thought I would be more productive during this time. I've gotten in a lot of online poker time, and online game playing time... but not as much reading and working out as I had thought I would. All that weight I put on while living in Twin... hasn't gone anywhere.... I guess it's not going to until I get my butt out of this chair. And since we are going on vacation in a short time... I better get moving.
So here is my announcement.... I have a passport, and I'm going to use it!!!!! :) YAY!!!! Keith and I are going to Puerto Vallarta Mexico for 8 days, 7 nights.... AHHHHH! We are booked for an all inclusive 5 star resort, could it get any better??? oh yeah it can, we are going with our great friends Brian and Jackee!!!! talk about a cherry on a sundae, a great trip, in a beautiful place, with WONDERFUL folks!!! I am truly blessed!
After the trip, I will start looking for work, I guess it's time. It's also hard to meet folks, when we never get out, so by getting a job, maybe I will find a few local friends... maybe. It's happened before, it could happen again :)
Well I think this is it for tonight, I hope everyone is well!!! kisses and hugs from here to there!
Good night and sweet dreams! :)
