Recent news.....

So much has gone on in the past month or so... I don't know where to start!

The kids are getting along!! I know they are just cats... but they are our fur babies! We adopted Cinnie a few months ago, and they have bonded! I think Hercules was in a bit of a funk for a while there before we got her... I think he missed Kitty... but now he has his new sister to keep him company! At first it seemed like they were just putting up with each other, but now, they play together, nap together and everything else together! They are adorable!

Here are Cinnie (in the pink collar) and Hercules napping on the back of the couch
Cinnie stares out the window, as Hercules naps :)

Vegas! We celebrated my 35th birthday in style :) We had good friends come visit for a few days, then we all headed to Las Vegas for a few more! Having company was WONDERFUL! I am looking forward to having more room to entertain friends and family, but that news will come in a paragraph or two... stay tuned ;)

Vegas was, as usual, a blast! We did a lot on this trip! We went to a taping of the TV show 'Let's Make a Deal'. It is on CBS daytime TV, and is hosted by Wayne Brady. We were lucky enough to be there for a special week of taping. The original host of the show Monte Hall was there!!!! He is a legend! I remember watching him when I was little! And according to one of the guys that work on the show, he like eggplant on his pizza! Just a little known fact I thought I would share with you all! :) So the episode we are on will air on March 22nd! I can't wait to see it! We all got placed in good spots. There is no picking your own seat in the audience, they put you where they want you, but Keith and I got put right on the isle behind where Wayne stands with the traders. And Brian and Jackee got put 2 isles below us, just a few seats to the right, they are right on the isle where contestants/traders would walk across. We should all be seen MANY times in the audience, hopefully! We will find out in a few weeks :) Being at the taping was interesting! It was a long morning, and the studio it was taped in was hot! I mean sweaty elbows hot! I am a bit nervous to see how I look, just because I was so warm, and I think I was hooting and screaming the entire time, so my mouth is probably almost always open :)

Keith and I also saw a show while we were there, we saw the Cirque du soleil show Ka. It was amazing, I am not sure how that stage was attached! It went in all sorts of directions, including completely vertical! A truly amazing show. Unfortunately we were SO TIRED, as we planned this show on the same day as the taping of Lets make a deal... it was a long day, but SO MUCH fun!

After the trip to Vegas, we rethought our long term plans. And have decided to stay in Arizona for a while. So the house shopping began, and as of last Friday, we are under contract on a house! This is actually the second one we put an offer on, but we didn't get the first... oh well, this one is nicer! and it just feels more like us! it is home, or will be after March 30th!

Here are a few photos of the new place... we are excited to learn about pool care... so much to learn!

Here is the front of the house from the street

Cute accent on the side of the house (behind the palm tree in the last photo)

Light on exterior of home. I like how it is almost framed, it's the little touches that get me :)

RV gate on the side of the house, for any big toys we may get

The built in BBQ with room for a fridge, our little outdoor kitchen :)
The flagstone patio that surrounds the pool, BBQ area... easy maintenance and it looks good! :)

The pool! with basketball hoop! and lots of room for lounge chairs, our backyard living is about to begin! :)

I guess that is all for now, the inside photos will have to wait until we get in and settled. We are planning to do a few changes inside. Keith wants to paint the garage, and we want to paint the living room. We should be able to get those little projects done before we move in, so that we don't have to worry about moving furniture/stuff out of the way to paint. I am excited to be a homeowner again! after a year and a half of being renters... I am joyfully going to start paying a mortgage again! Renting was fine, while we had to do it, but I am blessed to be in a situation where we can buy. Life is so good!
